Monster Party
E! Online
(E! Online; Sundance 2003)– I'm not sure, but I think I missed my best chance for a fling. If it didn't happen Wednesday night, it's not going to happen, because Killer Films threw a killer Party Monster party that aspired to re-create the debauchery and joy of club kid king Michael Alig's Disco 2000 at NYC's Limelight. And they came pretty close. There was a star-studded guest list. Culkin, who plays Alig, didn't make a move without two burly bodyguards. Waiters wore Alig's signature look on their faces: blue polka dots.

There was drama: A woman was dragged kicking and screaming into the night by police yelling, "Call 911! Call 911!"

And there was nudity. Peter Dinklage found himself on a dance platform, but he got pantsed by overenthusiatic fans. I also suspect that every gay person and club kid in Utah got an invitation.

Alig's best friend, James St. James made like some kind of twisted Pied Piper and somehow found Quesadilla, who has to be Park City's only Latin drag queen.

"Every other party at Sundance is about networking and handing out cards--everyone on their cell phones," says St. James. "This is just a bunch of freaks and faggots and drag queens that I've been running up and down Main Street trying to gather."

Yep, good times, good times, indeed.
