(Premiere; May 2000)– After presenting a surprisingly sympathetic portrait of Tammy Faye Bakker Messner in their documentary The Eyes of Tammy Faye, directors Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato are turning the story of Michael Alig, a 1980s New York club kid who was later convicted of manslaughter, nto a film called Disco Bloodbath . Whom do they hope to cast as, according to Bailey, this “terribly charming and charismatic” killer? None other than Home Alone cherub Macaulay Culkin. Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Seth Green is up for another pivotal role, and, Barbato says “there’s this snaggletoothed German drag queen we’re hoping to get RuPaul [Tammy Faye’s narrator] to play.” The directors remain open to suggestions, however….
