Tomorrow, on April Fools Day, we take the red eye to New York to start pre-production. We're renting an apartment downtown near Battery Park City. Partly because we want to do our bit to revive the neighborhood, partly because its cheaper to live here than any other part of New York. We were supposed to have had an apartment with a bedroom view of Ground Zero. People were not sure that was such a good idea, but it felt right. After all, we lived here for twelve years. The apartment is filthy with WTC dust on the windows.
