Tuesday, 28 May 2002: Part II New York City, New York

This is the last of our exteriors. Michael Lerman designed the schedule with such elegance in order to give us max flexibility in case weather messed with our plans. Generally, though, there really aren't that many exteriors in the entire film, since our idea is that the club kids slam the door on everday reality, heading down a maze of corridors towards their own underworld that of course turns out to be much closer to hell than the heaven they had so fondly imagined that it would be.

The dreaded wings

Shoot a shot of Angel discarding his wings in the trash.

Later that night we shoot outside Cooper Union which we have dressed to make it resemble a police station. One of the shots, a medium of Seth, his legs in leopard skin tights topped by purple lame panties and lying on the sidewalk surrounded by black plastic garbage bags is, we hope, destined to become a camp classic. It ends up getting cut, one for the DVD.
